ROW TO RAISE – KELDA WOOD

Kelda’s life throws many challenges at her and now she takes on yet another Row to Raise.   In her ocean rowing boat ‘Storm Petrel’ she will tackle the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, an ocean rowing race of some 3000 miles.  Each day on the ocean she will be rowing for a different young person, sharing their story along with links to charities and organisations providing support. This plucky lady suffered her own life changing leg injury in 2002 but has no time for any self-pity and dedicates herself to encouraging others to take part in adaptive sport.  Despite people’s doubts, para athlete Kelda climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, this achievement opened a whole new world for her and amongst other things in 2017 she successfully reached the summit of Anoncagua, the highest peak in South America!  Another of Kelda’s achievements is that she set up the successful charity Climbing Out
