TESTIMONIALS

As Chief Executive Officer of Leven Brown Adventure, Leven  has spent much of the past three years giving technical advice to ocean rowers  –  this involves in being ‘on call’ 24/7.  He has travelled to Agadir, Antigua, Eire, France, La Gomera, New York, Romania and all over the UK giving help to his clients both on and off the water. He also spent several days with the team of renowned endurance cyclist Mark Beaumont on the recent tour of the UK which was the forerunner of attempt on ‘Around the World in 80 days’.

“As a weather router Leven was continuously correct and his weather routing messages were reliable, clear, concise and most importantly when you’re on your own in the middle of the ocean, punctual. He never once missed a comms window.

Leven’s intimate knowledge of ocean rowing transformed straight forward forecasts of weather conditions into reliable insight on how those conditions will affect the boat. Leven and his vast ocean rowing experience was always on the end of the phone, carefully reassuring and guiding me through the biggest and often most challenging sea conditions I witnessed in two ocean rows.

I have no hesitation in recommending Leven as weather router, he was a major reason that my row was a success. With Leven in your corner, you get more than just a weather router, you get the most experienced and respected ocean rower on the planet.”

“What Leven Brown doesn’t know about ocean rowing isn’t worth knowing. With Leven’s advice we had very few technical issues compared to our competition. He was on hand 24/7 and always willing to go the extra mile and really was the single biggest outside influence on our successful crossing”

The Four Oarsmen, World Record Holders for the Fastest Crossing of The Atlantic

“What Leven Brown doesn’t know about ocean rowing isn’t worth knowing. With Leven’s advice we made a number of enhancements to our boat which meant that we had very few technical issues compared to our competition. He was on Hand 24/7 and always willing to go the extra mile and really was the single biggest outside influence on our successful crossing. As our weather router, he invested time analysing our boat and rowing ability which determined his decision making during the race. His calm and collected demeanour, independent thinking and knowledge of the ocean provides a sense of reassurance when battling against the elements mid Atlantic. We couldn’t recommend him enough to any budding ocean rowers looking to make a successful and speedy crossing!”

Chris Bertish, World Record Holding Paddleboarder

“I’ve been lucky enough to take part in several expeditions to far flung corners of the globe and reflecting back on some I feel trepidation and fear which send shivers down my spine! I was privileged to share an expedition across the North Atlantic with Leven in 2013 and can honestly say his unwavering attention to detail and expertise harboured a light-hearted feeling onboard the rowing boat. His unique style of leadership, determinedly lead with a light hand on the tiller empowers his crew and gets the best out of both his team and his vessels. I cannot speak highly enough of his qualities and would count him as the most competent expedition rowers out there”

“My guru and weather/forecaster, route adviser and general awesome guy Leven Brown Adventure has been an unbelievable support and help to me on this epic journey so far. Over the last four months I’ve had a great team behind me to help me make this project come to life, but I’ve also been fortunate to have met and had the privilege, help and guidance of some truly amazing and special people. This has given me the wisdom, support and confidence to get me confidently to the point of, pushing away from the dock and heading out into the deep blue yonder shortly, knowing that everything has been taken care of and all boxes ticked and that I’m ready, the craft is ready and I can confidently move forward and dare to do what many have believed I’mpossible! Leven Brown Thanks for all your help, guidance and support, couldn’t have done this without you…”

Chris Bertish

“I worked closely with Leven for the 2016 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, he routed weather for me, I placed 3rd overall and 1st in the solo category, with a race record for the Solo Concept Class. Leven was on hand day and night when i needed him, not only providing up to date weather and waypoints, but technical support also. He knew the performance polars of my boat, so could accurately help me in adverse winds and knew from his own vast experience in ocean rowing. I’m looking forward to working with him again for my next row back across the Atlantic from NYC to Ireland in the summer of 2017”

“Leven Brown is the most competent ocean rowing skipper in the world. Crossing the Indian Ocean, I had no doubt in my mind we were going to achieve our goal of breaking the speed record and, most importantly, we were safe in his hands. Leven has an amazing navigational ability which is only superseded by his kind nature and knack for keeping his crew relaxed, happy and working together at all times”
